STEADMAN, Norman, 4917854, Corporal.
5th Battalion South Staffordshire Regiment.
Born in 1919, the son of Richard and Sarah Steadman.
In 1939 he married Florence Foster, they may have had a daughter the following year.
He was killed in action in Normandy on the 16th July 1944, the first day of the 2nd battle of the Odon.
He is buried in Plot VII. H. 4. St Manvieu War Cemetery, France.
